About Weight Loss

Updated: Dec 26, 2021

When women talk to me about their health, weight loss is oftentimes a topic that comes up and it can bring up some strong emotions.

Weight is only a number on the scale, right? Size only a number on a label.

But if you’re overweight, you know it is associated with carrying an extra load to everything you do, whether you’re just slowly walking or doing things around the house, working, moving or trying to keep up with your family. It is also associated with more risks for your health. I meet many women truly unhappy with what they see in the mirror, with what their body looks and feels like. I hear them talk about themselves in a way they would never talk about someone they love.

I like to use this paradigm in my coaching practice: the weight you are carrying now was the perfect answer to something that happened to you in the past.

Read that again: the weight you are carrying now was the perfect answer to something that happened to you in the past.

There is no need to feel ashamed or guilty about it. You are not a failure. For some women, gaining weight was the answer to having a baby, or dealing with the challenges of a marriage or parenting, for others it is going through a miscarriage, the loss of a loved one, a divorce, abuse, a stressful situation due to a job or finances, or any other circumstances in life. Sometimes, the weight gain happened after a surgery, a hormonal imbalance, an episode of depression, during the long recovery after an illness or after taking some medications. It can also be linked somewhat to the process of aging or to an auto-immune condition.

Gaining the weight was the solution you found at the time, and it worked! You went successfully through whatever happened to you, and look at you, you made it, you’re still ALIVE! So pat yourself in the back and congratulate yourself for achieving what you did!

But maybe it’s time NOW to give an upgrade to your health and get rid of all the layers you’ve been accumulating along the way (literally and figuratively speaking). And if you decide that you want to do it now, it’s in your POWER to take your health in your own hands and CHANGE your habits, slowly, to create the body you feel good in and to build long term health.

If you know that it’s time to reclaim your health and your life, if you want to be more active with your family, feel great in your own skin, have more energy to live fully your passion and your purpose in life, get healthier so that you can stick around longer with your kids and loved ones, but you feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start,… please consider that you are not alone!

As a Health Coach, I can help you make peace with your past, learn to accept and love yourself now. I will help you adopt a new lifestyle and create new daily habits that will lead to better health (and those habits will include lots of nourishing plant-based meals , movement, self-love and updated positive thoughts !) I will be by your side to help you shed all the layers to finally find peace within yourself and your body, while guiding and supporting you through your transformation.

If any of this is speaking to you, please get in touch by sending me a message and let’s see how I can be of service.

I’m regularly opening my schedule for Free 60-minute Plant-Based Weight Loss Discovery Sessions, where we get to know each other and see if coaching would be a good fit for you.

And if you know someone who needs to hear this message, please SHARE and let them know that they are loved at any size and weight, but that you want them longer in your life and that a healthy lifestyle is a huge factor in this.
